Control System
Specifications
Many of the kit manufacturers went with
the joystick control system with pushrod all over the
aircraft. The only problem I have with this, except
that it is a much easier design, is the maintenance
factor. The average pushrod length in a kit plane
varies from about 3-6 feet, which means vibration and
resonance occur on these parts, excessive wear on
rodends etc. We went with the cable and pulley, yoke
system which is much more intricate to built and
design. The yoke system is not everybody's preference
but I can assure you that it is almost maintenance
free. It has also been proven through many years to be
the most reliable.
